Shirls had been a member of the gym for six years before they kicked her out over her racy Instagram posts – but people were quick to defend her saying: “you are being discriminated for being HOT”
A fitness model claims she was kicked out of her local gym because of her super short shorts and her racy photoshoots.
Shirls Larson had been a member of the gym for six years but after she was caught taking snaps for her Instagram mid-workout, they kicked her to the kerb.
Posting on her Twitter account, she explained: “I was kicked out of my small hometown gym of which I’ve been a member for six years for taking tasteless Instagram pictures.”
The tweet included one of the photos she had taken in the bright pink locker room of her now former gym.
In the snap, she is donning a sports bra and pink booty shorts while holding a dumbbell.
Shirls also added another, more covered-up photo and a message hitting out at the facility.
In the picture, she is wearing an oversized black graphic T-shirt and grey sweatpants.
“Here’s me at my new gym turning a new leaf,” she wrote.
“S/O modesty S/O being tasteful from now on S/O elegant grizzly bears.”
In an Instagram post, Shirls discussed the incident further. She wrote: “The reason my membership was terminated was because I post ‘tasteless,’ immodest content.
“I am free-spirited, I am friendly, I have a great sense of myself as significant and important REGARDLESS of what I choose to wear (or not wear).
She said she also respects people “regardless of how they dress, behave, [or] adhere to social standards.”
Many people supported the fitness models outrage, calling out the gym for their ‘toxic’ behaviour.
“Makes me so angry. Small conservative town proving just how toxic it can be!!” one wrote on Twitter, adding: “I am so sorry you are being discriminated for being HOT.”
Someone on Instagram commented: “They should be paying you to promote their gym. Your progress is impressive.”
Another person on Twitter echoed: “I meeeeean why wouldn’t they want the FREE advertisement?!”
